Built for Top 40 & AC.
ith over 30 years in radio, I understand that a mix show isn’t just about transitions it’s about format integrity, audience retention, and ratings performance.
I held down the Friday and Saturday night mix show on WXXL-FM (XL 106.7) in Orlando, one of the most successful Top 40 stations in the country. The show became the second highest-rated program in the station’s history, contributing to a legacy that positioned XL 106.7 as one of the top-performing Top 40 radio stations in the United States.
That experience shaped how I approach mix shows today.
I specialize in Top 40 and Adult Contemporary formats, delivering tight, format-conscious mixes designed to maintain energy while respecting rotation, clock structure, and audience expectations. My typical transition pacing runs between 90 seconds to two minutes per record, keeping momentum high while maximizing listener engagement.
Beyond the DJ booth, my radio background includes roles as on-air talent, Creative Director, sound designer, Assistant Program Director, Music Director, and Promotions Director. I’ve produced over 5,000 commercials per year at scale and understand how mix programming fits into the broader strategy of branding, revenue, and ratings.
A great mix show should feel exciting but it should also serve the station.
That balance is where I operate best.
