After Hurricane Milton, I left Florida and traveled up to Western North Carolina, just outside Asheville, where I’ve been staying at my business partner’s place—a beautiful two-story log cabin nestled on the mountainside.
In the spirit of gratitude and reciprocity, I've been helping out on the farm and learning so much along the way. This farm, the Missed Path Sanctuary, is a horse sanctuary that’s been providing a safe haven for nearly five years and was recently classified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, just before the hurricane.
Today’s lesson? Don’t push too hard—my body could really use a hot tub right now! It’s been tough work, but so worth it.
